The 2009-2010 Season marks Deepwater Motor Boat Club’s 80th Anniversary.

Deepwater is the second oldest continuously racing powerboat club in New South Wales and a foundation member of the Australian Power Boat Association.

Over the years, Deepwater members have held almost every NSW and Australian Championship and Speed Record – we are a club steeped in history and tradition.

Despite a massive fire that destroyed the clubhouse in 1978, the M5 Motorway bridge cutting off part of the northern end of the racecourse and a buyout of the current clubhouse by another local Club – Deepwater as a racing club has survived and its’ members continue to win championships and hold speed records.

The Race Committee would like to extend to you an invitation to be a part of our 80th year by coming along and racing on our Milperra course and taking part in our point score competition, which will culminate with a Presentation Night later in the year with trophies and prizes.

All classes welcome from Formula Future upwards.

Running over our five race days, the point score classes will be:
Handicap (Seniors & Formula Future),
5.2 Litre Scratch,
6 Litre Scratch
Outboard Scratch and
Unlimited Scratch

While we acknowledge that our racecourse might not be the widest or longest around, but it does have great viewing areas for spectators, good facilities, a spacious pit area and grounds for the whole family to enjoy the racing.

If you haven’t raced at Deepwater for a while, why not come down and reconnect with the club.

If you have never raced at Deepwater, then we invite you to come down and have a run.
